Within the HMS Networks Group, HMS Industrial Networks GmbH in Karlsruhe is responsible for sales, marketing and technical service for all HMS brands in continental Europe. With more than 2,500 active customers and 40 distributors, the company handles over 40% of the group's worldwide sales. The office in Karlsruhe and the subsidiaries in France, Italy and Spain are currently employing around 100 people.

Business Development Manager (f/m/d)

Your Tasks

  • As Business Development Manager (f/m/d), you will ensure the continued success of our Ixxat product line within Continental Europe.
  • You keep an eye on market and industry trends. You conduct market and competitive analyses and define market requirements for future developments in the Battery area (including stationary storage systems, charging stations...).
  • In close coordination with the distribution management, you identify new sales markets, promising applications, business areas, new customers, system partners and distributors and thus develop new sales potential for the Ixxat Business Unit.
  • You strategically develop our business in the area of industrial communication with a focus on battery/energy storage as well as automation.
  • Furthermore, the validation and qualification of opportunities with the corresponding business model and business cases is in your hands. 
  • You determine customer-specific requirements and derive relevant market requirements (e.g. certifications) as well as USPs.
  • The cooperation with sales, distributors and system integrators in Central Europe is part of your daily business. You are a promoter for the Business Unit Ixxat.

Your Qualifications

  • You can prove your knowledge in technical sales or business development, ideally in the field of energy management, battery systems or similar, either through a corresponding degree or through professional experience appropriate to the job description. 
  • We offer you a great deal of creative freedom in which you can contribute your own ideas. Therefore it is indispensable that you distinguish yourself by a high degree of creative will and self-motivation. 
  • You are used to communicate on all hierarchical levels and to convince decision makers. 
  • You understand technology as well as business contexts and approach challenges analytically, strategically and solution-oriented.
  • Our international environment makes it essential that you can communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. In addition, we expect you to have a very good command of German.
  • You are open to business trips.
